Les 3 BRs des films sont zonés B. A noter que le montage Argento ne sera plus reconstruit à partir de la nouvelle restauration du montage cinéma mais repartira semble-t'il de la restauration 4K SDR faite par ESC pour leur édition, mais avec la piste anglaise originale et un recadrage.

Alors quel intéret ce coffret UK ?

Le master ESC (du moins le cut Argento) est beaucoup trop sombre, et je n'ai pas du tout aimé son rendu (y compris lors d'une projection en salle au festival Lumière).

Espérons que celui de Second Sight sera plus satisfaisant.

Y a aussi probablement un souci de cadrage.

En fait, ça ne me surprend pas plus que ça, et ça n'est pas si immense que ça. Grosso modo, c'est UN film plus UN BR de bonus, un triple CD de la BO, un bouquin analytique et une adaptation du film en bouquin. C'est très complet (et je ne suis pas sûr que les 3 CDs et la novelisation ne fassent pas un peu gadget), c'est évident, mais ça ne semble pas extrême non plus. A partir du moment où les montages ne sont pas branchables entre eux, les disques sont forcément démultipliés, donc t'as déjà 2 disques de plus sans faire grand chose. Par ex, Red River chez Criterion faisait déjà 2 BRs + le bouquin (+ le livret).

Et puis on le sait maintenant, les éditions ESC ne sont que des repacks légaux.

Alors autant se les faire soi-même en meilleure qualité !

Dommage, j'aurais bien apprécié une "ristourne" pareille.
