ça m'a permis de me rafraichir la mémoire sur le MPEG4-MVC (qui est en fait un conteneur avec 2 flux AVC). Le film est donc également lisible par un lecteur 2D.

Il est de bon ton (c'est du moins mon impression) de dénigrer les critiques ciné de Télérama, ils ont je ne sais pas pourquoi le réputation de 'descendre les films', or ils font aussi , à part + ou - égale, des critiques très positives, voir deux avis contradictoires publiés sur un film, c'est donc une rumeur générale que je trouve injustifiée, ils ont le mérite rare de générer le discussion, car magazine facilement accessible, critiques vivantes et compréhensibles (à savoir pas trop intello), et de toute les façons, comme tous critiques, ils sont partiales, ce n'est 'qu'un' avis, à vous de vous faire le vôtre...bonne pédagogie :wink: :mrgreen:
Tout cela pour dire que j'avais bien aimé la critique d'Aurélien (the best) lors de la sortie D'Avatar Tip Top ce que j'en pense, en plus c'est drôle. :P :P

Entre 7 et 9 ans, James Cameron était une petite fille : il dessinait des chevaux bleus à six pattes, des arbres à nouilles phosphorescents, des Pocahontas à museau. Ses parents, sans le contrarier, lui disaient : « Tu as beaucoup de goût, Jane » (on suppose qu'il se faisait appeler ainsi). Plus tard, entre eux, ils ajoutaient, navrés : « Beaucoup, mais mauvais. » Quelques décennies plus tard, James Cameron a décidé d'exhumer le Polly Pocket en lui. Son calcul est simple : puisque Titanic avait piqué l'argent des fillettes (une grande histoire d'amour) comme des garçonnets (une maquette géante dans une baignoire glacée), rebelote. Pour ces dames, la faune et la flore multi­colores, pour ces messieurs, des scènes de baston à rallonge - et tant pis si les deux se marient moyen. Sachant qu'Avatar est censé réinventer le cinéma, il fallait, aussi, lui donner un semblant de fond, un vague sous-texte : au coeur de cette interminable transposition westernienne (Les Cheyennes au fin fond de l'espace), la morale pro-Indiens prendra la forme d'un gros gloubiboulga écolo et d'une exaltation panthéiste crypto-miyazakienne. Les deux sont d'un tel simplisme, d'une telle bêtise qu'on ne craint de vexer aucun croyant (écolo ou panthéiste) en recommandant la fuite ou le fou rire.

Si c'est de cette critique que l'on parle, je ne suis pas tout à fait d'accord. Ce texte ne consiste qu'en une condamnation sur un mode plaisantin du scénario, et encore, même pas du scénario, juste de l'intrigue. Un film, et notamment Avatar, c'est tout de même autre chose qu'un scénario.

Bref, ce fantasme délirant sur l'enfance "petite fille" de James Cameron, ça n'est pas de la critique de film, ça ne parle pas de cinéma, ni de mise en scène ou de technique, ni même de scénario : c'est juste une blague facile pour expliquer qu'on n'a pas aimé le film. Un peu plus d'analyse aurait été bienvenue, mais bon, c'est rédigé en terrain conquis, entre amateurs de cinéma d'auteur conspuant le stupide blockbuster, dont rien de bon ne peut sortir, à quoi bon critiquer, dans ce cas ?? Autant ricaner entre amateurs de bon cinéma...

Heureusement qu'il arrive à Télérama, et notamment à Aurelien, de rédiger des textes d'un autre intérêt, parce que là, franchement, il ne s'est pas foulé... C'est dommage d'être incapable d'aborder plus sérieusement le plus gros succès commercial de l'histoire du cinéma, soit un film important, ne serait-ce que sur le plan historique, de ne pas chercher là où il est juste, là où il est bancal, là où il est en prise avec son public ou avec l'air du moment, pour préférer s'en tenir à une pauvre blague en guise de critique.
Pour moi, il passe complètement à coté de son sujet.

C'est ce que j'appellerais une 'critique épidermique', donc c'est l'argumentation d'un 'premier jet émotionnel' , c'est vivifiant et cela pousse les gens à réagir (voir le nombre de réponses sur ce film), le ton de la blague peut faire passer des choses plus 'sérieuses', et puis James Cameron est tellement suffisant dans la vie (le souvenir d'une interview à la TV) que c'en est d'autant plus drôle (j'espère qu'il l'a lue :D) C'est du ressort de l'écorniflage (est-ce que ce mot existe d'ailleurs ??) De toute façon, concernant ce film, ce ne sont pas les critiques qui manquent ! :roll:

C'est de toute évidence un avis quand il dit : "Les deux sont d'un tel simplisme, d'une telle bêtise qu'on ne craint de vexer aucun croyant (écolo ou panthéiste) en recommandant la fuite ou le fou rire." Je suis d'accord, le fond c'est 50% du film :wink:

Cult-O-Ciné, la web-émission qui célèbre les souvenirs de cinéma vécus sur grand-écran. Dans ce numéro, on s'attaque à Avatar, la dernière montagne en date escaladée par Iron Jim, qui a emmené dans son ascension du mont Pandora plusieurs centaines de millions de spectateurs parfois sceptiques qui ne voulaient plus repartir arrivés en haut.

Je crois que l'édition steelbook d'Avatar n'est qu'un repackage du 4K UHD déjà sorti :
