Le label australien Via Vision Entertainment lance sa nouvelle collection [Imprint] en Mai 2020 avec pour objectif d'éditer sur support Blu-ray, des films réclamés de longue date et jusqu'ici inédits en version restaurée et remasterisée.
En Australie et Nouvelle-Zélande, [Imprint] est distribué par le partenaire local de Via Vision Entertainment : Madman Entertainment.

Voilà comme promis, le topic réservé aux Blu-rays du label australien [Imprint].
Il est en construction. C'est fastidieux. Je n'aurais pas le temps de finir cette nuit mais je voulais quand même le lancer. Je tache de finir ça dans les 2 jours. Promis.

Il sera mis à jour à chaque salve (et je vérifierai les titres qui resteront "inédits" ou pas).

Pour l'instant seuls les 5 premiers titres ont été retirés en éditions standards (sans les fourreaux et avec des jaquettes différentes - dont je mettrais les visuels à chaque fois que ce sera nécessaire, si des retirages sont effectués pour d'autres numéros).


Je remets ici ce que j'avais résumé à propos de cette collection :

Concernant la qualité, on va dire que c'est du niveau de Rimini/Elephant ou alors Eureka/Arrow mais des tous débuts, pas plus pour le moment.
En coupant la poire en deux, disons que comme Twilight Time (avec leurs titres du catalogue Sony et Fox) ils sont tributaires du matériel que Paramount leur donne mais que comme Twilight Time, s'ils aiment/veulent vraiment sortir un film, ce n'est pas une qualité moyenne du master qui les en empêchera.
Le jour du fléau est un simili-upscale, par exemple. Sorry wrong number est également très décevant.
Certains sont des masters un peu fatigués, d'autres sont de très bonne qualité bref, la qualité est variable.
(la plupart des disques ont été testés chez Blu-ray.com ou DVDBeaver, entre autres)

Par contre, niveau bonus, ils essaient de faire quelque chose de bien. Ce n'est pas pléthorique.
Comme chez d'autres éditeurs, certains disques ne proposent "que" des commentaires audio et une bande-annonce mais ce n'est pas mal (des modules sur les acteurs des films, par exemple, des mises en perspectives, des analyses). Là encore, on est plus proche d'un Sidonis/Spectrum Films (intervenants calés), ce genre de choses plus que sous une avalanche de boni (hormis sur certains titres reprenant des choses existantes ailleurs).

Vu le niveau du dollar australien, les prix paraissent abordables quand on sait qu'ils entrent systématiquement dans les "soldes"/réductions de JB Hi-Fi (par exemple), ramenant les titres à 15~19 euros hors frais de port. Ça reste donc correct pour certaines exclus mondiales (qui le resteront probablement un moment). Et puis, à la date d'aujourd'hui (Mars 2021) on en est déjà au numéro 49 de la collection en 1 an... si on attend que des éditeurs étrangers ou même français réagissent, on sera déjà au numéro 120 et de toute façon, tout ne sortira pas ailleurs, il ne faut pas se faire d'illusions.

Avec plaisir.

Je remanierais tout au fur et à mesure de vos remarques/questions afin que ces infos apparaissent plus clairement.

J'hésitais entre des "quote" ou des "spoilers". Je pense que ce serait moins lisible avec des "quote" mais je vais réécrire la mention "sous-titres" car au final, tous en ont sauf une minuscule poignée (je me demande même si ce n'est pas juste Waterloo qui n'en a pas). Et c'est vrai, il faut que je précise clairement que l'Australie est dans la même zone que nous.
Bref, il y a encore pas mal de boulot.

Je n'ai pas précisé mais les hyperliens correspondant aux numéros de la collection renvoie à toutes les différentes éditions de chaque film, répertoriées sur Blu-ray.com, ça permet aussi d'accéder à des tests ou autres assez facilement et de voir quels titres sont inédits ou quelle(s) alternative(s) il existe.
