J'aimerais beaucoup Lost Highway en UHD avant qu'ils ne perdent les droits - j'avais acheté le Kino US et j'avais été un peu déçue par la qualité de l'image. (J'ai acheté aussi chez Kino les UHD de Some Like It Hot (j'avais le blu-ray Criterion).
Et apparemment Criterion se fait souffler souvent des UHD par Kino. Je ne sais pas s'ils les laisse "partir" chez d'autres éditeurs; leur "politique" c'était de maintenir autant que possible les titres de leur catalogue disponibles en renouvelant les droits.

Manifestement cela semble être un coffret Lynch qui s'annonce (et qui combinerait UHD et Blu-Ray (peut-être UHD pour les films).
J'espère que les films seront dispos à l'unité (contrairement au coffret Wong Kar Wai (où je regrette que 2046 ne soit pas sorti à l'unité).
J'ai vu des captures HD de Inland Empire sur le forum blu-ray.com et il y a amélioration significative même s'il a été tourné en video.
On a déjà "Mulholland Drive"; j'espère sincèrement qu'ils sortiront en UHD "Fire Walk With Me" (le blu-ray, je le trouve superbe, supérieur au MK2, et c'est le Lynch que je préfère avec Eraserhead et Blue Velvet)

Pendant que j'y suis, un coffret UHD de Lars Von Trier ne serait pas du luxe chez Criterion. Leur blu-ray de Breaking The Waves est superbe et ferait un très beau UHD.
Quant à Dogville il est sorti en Allemagne et la qualité d'image est excellente et gagne franchement à passer du DVD et Blu-Ray/HD.

En substance, cela veut dire que l'UHD ne bénéficiera pas du High Dynamic Range (ou HDR) qui permet en principe des contrastes plus étendus et une plus grande fidélité des couleurs.
Dans certains cas, ce n'est pas vraiment dommageable, notamment si la photographie est relativement peu contrastée et dans des tonalités contrôlées... ce qui est plutôt le cas pour Virgin Suicides.
