Le fourreau n'est pas si moche, c'est surtout qu'il a plus de bonus et un meilleur encodage qui font pencher la balance. J'imagine que l'affiche originale sera dispo sur le Scanavo.

SYNOPSIS

he Masters of Cinema Series is proud to present three early silent features from Universal Pictures, all fully restored as part of the studio’s ongoing restoration program.

Skinner’s Dress Suit (dir. William A. Seiter, 1926) – Reginald Denny stars as a shy clerk who asks his boss for a raise at the urging of his wife. His request is rejected, but he lies to his wife, who immediately goes out and buys an expensive suit, an act that upends his once-ordered life

The Shield of Honor (dir. Emory Johnson, 1927) – The LAPD has a new method of fighting crime, the Air Police! Their newest recruit, young hotshot pilot Jack MacDowell (Neil Hamilton), is tasked with catching a gang of jewellery thieves.

The Shakedown (dir. William Wyler, 1929) – Dave Roberts (James Murray) is a fighter better known for taking falls in fixed fights than for taking home the prize money. But then he falls head-over-heels for a fiery waitress (Barbara Kent) and a rough-and-tumble orphan (Jack Hanlon), and he begins to dramatically alter his life inside and outside of the ring.

Pour ma part je vais découvrir avec gourmandise Shield of honor; par contre, je connais le Wyler (merci Kino) qui est excellent et le Seiter (Kino aussi), et pour ce dernier, c'est une merveille. J'ai hâte de découvrir les volumes 2, 3, et tous les autres jusqu'à 485. On peut toujours rêver.

Alors, non... j'avais décidé de faire l'impasse. Jamais osé voir le film et sa réputation (ainsi que sa bande-annonce atroce) ne m'ont jamais convaincu de "tenter". Mais oui, si on devait choisir, c'est évidemment le Eureka qu'il faudra prendre (pas la peine d'attendre un quelconque test).
Par contre, je maintiens que ce visuel est absolument immonde. Franchement, à donner des nausées. Je ne sais pas comment on peut aussi mal dessiner et aussi mal mettre en couleurs et décrocher une telle commande. Je dis : respect !

A mon avis je vais prendre les deux Early Universal, mais je me suis déja décidé à prendre les Ringo Lam chez Spectrum. Pour le coffret Kuo par contre j'hésite au cas ou les films finissent par arriver en France

Oui, je me suis rendu compte que j'avais sorti une connerie ; sûrement pour ça que cela ne sort pas chez eux d'ailleurs.
