primus a écrit : ↑8 nov. 20, 01:49 J'aime bien The Collector, que j'ai pris d'ailleurs. Rien de désuet pour moi là-dedans. Le récit, à mesure qu'il se dévoile, est glaçant, le final d'une grande cruauté. Pour qui aime ce que sort Le chat, je m'étonne qu'on puisse ne pas apprécier celui-ci.
Si vous ne le connaissez pas, refusez qu'on vous en dévoile quoique ce soit.

Je l'ai aussi mais je ne l'ai pas encore vu. Cela dit selon moi il ne rentre pas dans la catégorie que je mentionnais plus haut. Je faisais plutôt allusion à ces comédies douce amères qui n'ont pas très bien vieilli. Dans le même genre, je pourrais citer That'll be the day, sorti lui chez studio canal (vintage classics), dans lequel je fondais beaucoup d'espoir et qui est d'un ennui abyssal.

D'ailleurs, pour citer un bon titre plus dark sorti chez Powerhouse, ou du moins plus intéressant, je conseille Fragment of fear.

Mention très TRÈS bien pour Powerhouse ! C'est la première fois que je commande via leur site.
Passé commande vendredi à 13h, expédié... moins d'une heure plus tard via Fedex. Reçue mardi matin, le tout hyper bien emballé.

Ah oui c'est tout de même très très rapide, là.
J'ai passé la mienne dimanche matin, toujours aucune info concernant une éventuelle expédition.
Mais je suis pas pressé, c'est pas comme si j'avais 128 BR sous blister qui m'attendaient déjà.

A noter que le Volume 4 des Hammer a fait son entrée (il me semble) dans la liste des titres "presque épuisés".

J'ai vu des Joseph M. Newman, Robert Parrish et Phil Karlson mais pas ceux-là. Certains étaient vraiment bons dans mes souvenirs.

Vu 711 Ocean Drive il y a peu, dans le coffret Film Noir Mill Creek/Kit Parker. C'est pas mal du tout. Un côté un peu documentaire dans la forme et sans doute aussi pas mal de recherches au préalable pour composer un scénario solide. Edmond O'Brien est charismatique en diable. Chouette film.
